Earl Hooker (guitar) performs on the 1969 “American Folk Blues Festival” tour backed by Mack Thompson (bass), and Robert St Judy (drums).
Electric Chicago blues star Earl Hooker enjoyed a huge career boost with his exposure while touring Europe with the “American Folk Blues Festival.” As good as it may have been from a business standpoint the rigors of the road were the worst thing for his weak constitution, contributing to his sudden deterioration.
