Skip’s Danish Television Appearance

Nehemiah “Skip” James (1902-1969) is captured performing in 1967 for Danish TV in Copenhagen during the American Folk Blues Festival tour.

*Skip made his first records for Paramount in 1931, but drifted into obscurity during the Great Depression. In 1964 he was rediscovered in a Tunica, Mississippi hospital by Blues enthusiasts John Fahey, Bill Barth, and Henry Vestine.
