In an excerpt from Tom Davenport’s 1976 documentary “Born For Hard Luck” Peg Leg Sam is captured in a rare appearance on camera. He performs his ode to greens at the home of a neighbor. Then at a party he tells off a local preacher who tries to deter him from offering alcohol to the younger attendees, followed by a game of cards and a few comedic anecdotes.
