Jessie Mae Hemphill trademark rural blues style is well represented with her song “Go Back To Your Used To Be” from her album “Feelin’ Good.” Released in 1990 it was her first full length album, a long time coming since her 1967 field recordings by blues researcher George Mitchell. This record won a W. C. Handy Award for best acoustic album.
