Stillwater blues

In clip from the TV series eXXtra Presents Mojo Buford (harmonica & vocals), preforms in Minnesota at a 1986 fundraiser within the walls of Stillwater Prison.

Sometime after relocating to Chicago from Memphis George Buford was picked up by Muddy Waters’ touring band to replace George Smith. He stayed on with Muddy for three years before striking out on his own. He began playing in and around St. Paul, Minneapolis where he was dubbed with the name “Mojo” by the locals after his most requested song “Got My Mojo Working.”
