Billy Boy Arnold (harmonica & vocal) preforms on September 12, 2013 at “Mark Hummel’s Blues Harp Blowout & Little Walter Tribute” at The Falcon in Marlboro, N.Y. accompanied by Little Charlie Baty and Anson Funderburgh (guitars), R. W. Grisby (bass), and Wess Starr (drums).
“I Ain’t Got You” credited to Calvin Carter but more than likely written by Jimmy Reed, was a big hit for Billy Boy Arnold in 1955. The song was also recorded that year by Reed, but Billy Boy’s version of this number destined to be a favorite of countless rock bands was issued first.
