With over two hundred recordings to his credit Texas bluesman Sonny Rhodes refers to himself as a ‘self-proclaimed disciple of the blues.’ His uncle first introduced him to the genre of which he became a serious student around the age of twelve. Rhodes has tour spreading his brand of blues to the four corners of the world. In 2011 he won Blues Music Award for the Instrumentalist category, and had fifteen nominations.
