One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer
John Lee Hooker
Live in Montreal
John Lee Hooker performs his classic rendition of “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” live in Montreal.
“One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” is a call and response blues song written by Rudy Toombs and recorded by Amos Milburn in 1953. It is one of several drinking songs recorded by Milburn in the early 1950s that reached the top ten on the Billboard R&B chart. Other artists have since popularized the song most memorably John Lee Hooker (1966), and George Thorogood (1977).
