Sam Chatmon (guitar & vocals) is captured performing in his home during the late 1970s.

Performing with the family string band as an adolescents Sam Chatmon and his brothers Lonnie and Bo Chatmon developed a diverse repertoire of rags, ballads, and dance tunes. Together they formed their own group the “Mississippi Sheiks” with guitarist Walter Vinson and enjoyed a moderately successful recording career during late 1920s and early 30s.
