In 1959, Danny Kaye played jazz cornetist Red Nichols in the movie The Five Pennies.

Although he was only in three scenes, Louis Armstrong consistently stole the show.

One of the highlights of the film was when Satch and Kaye teamed up for a vocal routine on “When The Saints Go Marching In.”

On a Danny Kaye special from Jan. 4, 1967, they revived their act to the delight of the audience and each other.
