Guitarist Les Paul ended his long career by playing at New York’s Iridium on a weekly basis for years.
On Feb. 23, 1998 he welcomed the brilliant pianist Dick Hyman to the bandstand.
With rhythm guitarist Lou Pallo and bassist Paul Nowinski, Hyman (who can play in virtually any style) digs into “C Jam Blues,” coming up with boppish ideas and runs that are worthy of Art Tatum.
Les Paul just plays a little, enjoying himself by watching Dick Hyman’s creative brilliance.
