James Morrison is a remarkable musician whose brilliance on the trumpet and trombone, as well as his versatility in playing any style, are matched by his good humor.
In a performance of “The Flintstones” (which shares the same chord changes as “I Got Rhythm”) with the Schagerl All-Star Big Band, Morrison sets an impossible standard from the start. He then welcomes trumpeter Thomas Gansch and three other superb trumpeters for a wild tradeoff.
Anyone who loves the trumpet has to see this clip.
