In 2014, the great tenor-saxophonist Sonny Rollins is asked about the musicians who inspired him.
Rollins mentions Louis Jordan, Coleman Hawkins, and Lester Young and talks about how he developed his sound.
He remembers knocking on the doors of some of his musical heroes when he was a child and how kind they were to him.
Rollins also talks about how he still practices, saying that it is impossible to fully master music because there is always something more to learn.
