You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To – 2015
Warren Vache
A swinger with the WDR Big Band
Warren Vache has been a major cornetist and trumpeter ever since he arrived in the jazz major leagues in the mid-1970s.
Unlike most of the jazz musicians who debuted during that decade, he found his inspiration from swing era players rather than playing fusion or post bop.
While sometimes stretching himself to bop, Vache has stayed the course throughout his productive career, playing his brand of beautiful and swinging music.
From 2015, he is featured on “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To” with the WDR Big Band in Europe; altoist Karolina Strassmayer and pianist Frank Chastenier also play fine solos during Richard DeRosa’s stirring big band arrangement.
