Ever since he emerged on the scene as a 13-year old in 1980, Bireli Lagrene has been one of the top gypsy jazz guitarists on the scene.
While he has flirted with fusion and more modern types of jazz, his playing in the style of Django Reinhardt remains unparalleled.
For this outstanding version of “Them There Eyes,” Lagrene is in the spotlight throughout while accompanied by the unseen rhythm guitarist Denis Chang and bassist, Paul Van Dyk.
