Hiromi is a remarkable pianist and keyboardist who has superb technique, a fertile imagination, and loads of enthusiasm which can be seen in her always-beaming face.
In 2024 she led her Sonicwonder, a quartet also featuring the exciting trumpet of Adam O’Farrill, electric bassist Hadrien Feraud, and drummer Gene Coye.
Although acoustic piano is her best instrument, Hiromi displays nonstop energy while switching between electric keyboards, clearly enjoying the sounds and rapid ideas that she was creating.
O’Farrill plays quite well and the bassist and drummer are alert and stimulating, but Hiromi is clearly the main star and her enthusiasm is contagious.
