Dorothy Donegan (1922-98) was one of the greatest jazz pianists even though she rarely received the recognition that she deserved.

Art Tatum thought highly of her playing which often found her switching between styles (including classical, boogie-woogie, stride and bebop) with effortless virtuosity and often in eccentric medleys.

From 1993 at a concert held at the Clinton White House, Donegan goes from Rachmaninoff’s “Prelude In C Sharp Minor” to “I Can’t Get Started” and “Flight Of The Bumble Bee” during a dazzling display of her technique and imagination.
