At the JEN (Jazz Education Network) convention of 2024, the SF Jazz High School All Stars accompanied three major trumpeters on “Dizzyland.”

Sean Jones, Etienne Charles and Terence Blanchard, each of whom have had illustrious careers thus far, take turns soloing, trading off, and finally playing a cadenza.

While all three fare well, Jones has the edge during the solos while Charles’ closing cadenza is the most creative.
