The 30-year old Chet Baker had a small role in the 1960 Italian film Uriatori Alla Sbarra (Howlers Of The Dock).
In this scene, Baker kisses a girl, sings the ballad “Arrivederci” while other couples frolic in a park, and takes a nice melodic trumpet solo to the accompaniment of an unseen string orchestra.
With his good looks, Baker could have been a movie star but his drug habits cut short that possibility.
Still, this scene hints at what could have been.
