Composed in 1940 by Richard Rogers for his musical “Pal Joey,” “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered” has since been covered by the Benny Goodman orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Oscar Peterson (alongside Ray Brown and Barney Kessel).

Chicago native Von Freeman’s father was close friends with Louis Armstrong.
