Birth Of The Cool

Tony Adamo

Spoken-word artist Tony Adamo pays tribute to 1950s jazz in a three-minute video

Tony Adamo is a rarity: a spoken-word jazz artist.

On this colorful video, which has a lot of fancy graphics, photos, albums jackets and clips of the era, Tony Adamo pays tribute to jazz of the 1950s.

Adamo speaks fast but is quite understandable while backed by an organ trio that includes drummer Mike Clark.

The nostalgic yet contemporary video is concise and fun to watch.
