During 2019-2020, Eliane Elias recorded two sets of piano duets with Chick Corea and Chucho Valdes.

Mirror Mirror was one of the finest albums released in 2021, the year that Corea passed away.

While Chick Corea’s musical personality dominates, Elias holds her own during an often-rollicking version of “Blue Bossa.”

It is fascinating watching the pianists reacting to each other, exchanging the lead, playing behind each other, and creating an “arrangement” on the spot.
