Gee, what do you say about a group like this?
I didn’t know these five guys ever played together.
A super group to be sure. This clip features Louis Hayes, but the band was Cannonball Adderley’s.
There’s some dispute as to who the piano player is, Joe Zawinul or Victor Feldman. I’ll leave that up to a forensic jazzologist.
The video states Charles Lloyd in on the tune, but obviously that’s wrong.
