Peanuts Hucko (1918-2003) was a superb clarinetist who worked with the big bands of Will Bradley, the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band, Benny Goodman, and Ray McKinley but was most notable for his playing in freewheeling swing and Dixieland groups including with Jack Teagarden, Eddie Condon and the Louis Armstrong All-Stars.

Hucko is featured at the head of a big band in 1990, playing the arrangement of “Bugle Call Rag” that Benny Goodman had utilized in the mid-1930s.

The swinging chart was opened up a bit and includes solos by tenor-saxophonist Loren Schoenberg, trombonist Bob Havens and trumpeter Zeke Zarchey in addition to Hucko.
