Clergyman’s Dream

Ornette Coleman

Fairfield Hall, Croydon (UK) – August 29, 1965

Just a few short years after a proverbial “meteoric” rise to fame in 1959, Ornette Coleman stepped away from the music industry, stopped performing and re-focused on his music.

In that time he learned the trumpet and violin and started working with string players.

Performing again in 1965, he was learning this trio with David Izenzon on bass and Charles Moffett on drums.
