Veronica Swift, the daughter of singer Stephanie Nakasian and pianist Hod O’Brien, has been singing professionally since she was a child.

She really came into her own around 2018-19 and, while she sometimes performs rock and originals, she is at her best when singing vintage material in her timeless style.

While Veronica Swift is sometimes best known for her excellent scat-singing (inspired by Anita O’Day), she is also a superior ballad singer as can be seen on this film.

In 2019 she toured with trumpeter Chris Botti and it is in that setting that she is featured on a warm and heartfelt version of “Embraceable You.”
