A rapid version of the cartoon theme

Although overshadowed by his two famous brothers Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis (in addition to being a record producer) has long been an excellent trombonist whose style is inspired by J.J. Johnson.
He is featured with his father pianist Ellis Marsalis, younger brother drummer Jason Marsalis, and a bassist on a rather fast version of the theme from The Flintstones.
Although the cartoon series was on television in the 1960s, it was not until the early 1970s that jazz musicians began to occasionally play the Flintstones Theme since it utilizes the chords of “I Got Rhythm.”
Other than a short spot for his father, Delfeayo Marsalis is in the spotlight throughout the concise performance, sounding comfortable and swinging at the fast tempo.
