Kenny Banks Jr. began playing the piano when he was seven, worked with Theo Croker in China in 2009, and has been busy ever since, performing with such artists as Jennifer Holiday, Russell Gunn, Jazzmeia Horn, and Lizz Wright.
He was a finalist at the 2019 American Pianists Awards Gala Finals.
On “Georgia On My Mind,” Kurt Elling joins Banks for a duet that showcases the up-and-coming pianist who plays throughout with joyful restraint and quiet creativity.
