The unique Mose Allison performs one
of his compositions

One of the major losses of the music world in 2016 was the passing of Mose Allison at the age of 89.

A very original singer, songwriter and pianist, Allison combined together boppish jazz, country blues, and his own eccentric and folksy style to create memorable music filled with insightful and ironic lyrics and fresh melodies.

Mose Allison is featured with a trio in 1989 both singing and taking a piano solo on one of his lesser-known numbers, “Gettin’ There.”
