I’m sure you haven’t missed Joey Alexander.

If you have, here’s the low down.

Born in 2003, in Bali, Indonesia, Josiah Alexander Sila (“Joey Alexander”) got his start at age six playing along with his Dad’s jazz records. (His father attended grad school in NYC and came home with a trunkload of CDs from J & R Music.)

Passing through town, Herbie Hancock heard Joey at 9 and encouraged him. The rest, as they say, is history.

Personnel list on album:

Larry Grenadier, bass
Ulysses Owens Jr., drums
Sammy Miller, drums
Russell Hall, bass
Alphonso Horne, trumpet
