Ever since the early 1990s, Karrin Allyson has been one of jazz’s top singers, equally adept at bebop, Brazilian jazz and modern folk songs.
Allyson always sings perfectly in tempo and is a fearless improviser.
Those two qualities, plus her solid sense of swing are very in evidence during this performance which finds her singing a medley of “I Want To Be Happy” and “ What A Little Moonlight Can Do” as a duet with drummer Todd Strait.
