Blossom Dearie

A fine version of the classic Dave Frishberg song

Blossom Dearie (1924-2009) was always hip as both a singer and a pianist.

She was one of the first to sing Dave Frishberg’s classic lyrics to “I’m Hip,” a song with many inside jokes about a phony hipster.

Her little girl’s voice always contrasted with her sophisticated piano playing, making for a unique performer who was masterful at interpreting lyrics.
