Gunhild Carling is a phenomenal musician, one who plays trumpet and trombone with equal skill, writes and arranges songs, sings in several styles, and puts on entertaining shows.

For her version of the New Orleans jazz standard “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” Carling begins it slow on the trombone, hits some stratospheric high notes during the third chorus, and finally is joined by her big band at a faster tempo for two choruses.

This performance just gives one a hint about Gunhild Carling’s talents.
