Bassist-singer Nicki Parrott, who is from Australia but has been part of many American and European all-star swing-oriented groups, is an asset to every session on which she appears.
On the swing era ballad “Deep Purple” she takes a fine chorus but the star is tenor-saxophonist Scott Hamilton who makes a warm and relaxed statement.
Also in the quartet are pianist Rossano Sportiello and drummer Paolo Tomelleri.
