George Van Eps (1913-98), the inventor of the seven-string guitar, always played the most beautiful chords.

Howard Alden (1958- ), who began playing the seven-string guitar decades later, is a masterful single-string soloist who teamed up with Van Eps or several recordings and some live performances in the late 1980s and ‘90s.

They share the spotlight on “Just You, Just Me” in a quartet with bassist Dave Stone and drummer Jake Hanna, showing that there was certainly no generation gap despite the 45 year difference in ages.
