Throughout his career, pianist Brad Mehldau has often enjoyed exploring material from the pop and rock music worlds, transforming many unlikely tunes into jazz.

Mehldau and his trio with bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Jeff Ballard, have always had their own sound, thinking as one, as can be seen during this performance from 2006.
