Composed by Al Di Meola for his 1977 album “Elegant Gypsy,” “Mediterranean Sundance” blends flamenco and jazz stylings. Although the progression, on paper, is fairly straightforward, performing it was not. Di Meola’s picking was very quick. But De Lucia helped keep it together on the original recording, as he does in this live performance.
