Here’s Dizzy Gillespie and Slim Gaillard having dinner together and sharing memories and clips.
For me, it doesn’t get any better.
Critics underestimated Dizzy Gillespie and Slim Gaillard (and Louis Armstrong too) because they were outgoing and loved to cut up and crack jokes.
Apparently, they don’t know that showmanship, humor and musical genius can occupy the same person.
Slim also pays a visit on Tito Puente and Max Gordon founder of the Village Vanguard.
