Washington state native Ralph Towner is a multi-instrumentalist – here showing off his substantial guitar talents. Towner is known for his preference not to use amplification, and so he has tended to prefer playing with smaller groups so that the musicians don’t drown each other out.

Written in 1958 by Miles Davis, “Nardis” would be made more famous by Bill Evans, who would put it to tape many times over the years. There are no recordings of Davis himself playing this track.
