The innovative guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel is best known for playing originals, distorting his tone, and performing music that is quite explorative.

However, Rosenwinkel can also play standards and swing in a more conventional but no less satisfying manner as he shows on rare occasions.

This performance from 2013 with bassist Ugonna Okegwo and drummer Jeff Ballard shows that Rosenwinkel can play bebop with the best of them as he swings on a relaxed version of a Clifford Brown blues.
