Some beautiful solo harp

There have only been a handful of great jazz harpists (as opposed to harmonica players) in jazz history including Casper Reardon, Adele Girard, Dorothy Ashby, Alice Coltrane and a handful of others.

In the 21st century, the most significant jazz harpist to emerge has been Brandee Younger.

While she has often performed with groups or in duets with bassist Dezron Douglas, on this version of “Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise,” Brandee Younger plays a beautiful unaccompanied solo.
