One of the finest New Orleans clarinetists since his recording debut in 1987, Tim Laughlin can always be relied upon to play melodic, hot, and inventive solos in his warm and deep tone.
He often teamed up with trumpeter Connie Jones as can be heard in this 2010 performance of “Someday, Sweetheart” which also includes trombonist Mike Pittsley, pianist Chris Dawson, guitarist Katie Cavera, bassist Marty Eggers, and drummer Hal Smith.
The harmony between Laughlin and Jones is a delight, there is a vocal by Jones, and fine trombone and trumpet solos along with relaxed and quietly hot ensembles.
