The final number in a broadcast from Switzerland, this 1963 performance features the Cannonball Adderley Sextet.

During bassist Sam Jones’ swinging blues “Unit 7,” Yusef Lateef preaches on tenor, putting together a solo filled with original ideas and honest feeling.

Nat Adderley also gets a muted cornet solo before Cannonball introduces the band and the show finishes.

This and the other selections from the Swiss concert feature plenty of inspiring music.
