A classic organ trio sound with three major musicians

The trio of organist Larry Goldings (who is equally skilled on piano), guitarist Peter Bernstein, and drummer Bill Stewart first came together in the late 1980s and made their initial recording as a unit in 1991

They have since recorded quite a few records together including some with guest artists, and have performed together on an occasional basis.

All three musicians are equally skilled as soloists and accompanists and have ranked high on their instruments during the past 30 years.

They swing together on “Why Don’t I,” each getting solo space and showing that they can groove together like a classic 1960s organ trio while adding their own personalities to the music.
