In a clip from the 1990 Brazilian TV documentary Blues: Pain Created To Heal Pain produced by Joao Moreira Salles, James Son Thomas performs Robert Johnson’s “Dust My Broom” from the porch of his home. A native to Leland, Mississippi Thomas was alternately known as Sonny Ford. He spent many years in the delta where he encountered may blues greats prior to traveling to Chicago.
