Remembering Sam Maghett

Magic Sam (guitar & vocals) is featured on an alternate take of his hit “Everything Gonna Be Allright.”

Magic Sam fist became nationally known for his 1963 single “Feelin’ Good.”

After touring the U.S. and abroad he signed with Delmark Records in 1967, while continuing to perform with Charlie Musselwhite and Sam Lay.

At the peak of his abilities Sam’s brilliant performance at the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival greatly increased the demand for his music.

Tragically his life an career were cut short by a sudden heart attack on December 1st of that year.
