Grandma’s Advice
J. B. Lenoir
Better Listen to Grandma
In an excerpt from Steve and Ronnog Seaberg’s original 1965 16mm film J.B. Lenoir plays “Grandma’s Advice” from the living room of his South Side Chicago home. Since the film was intended to be aired on Swedish television writer Ronnog Seaberg translates J. B.’s performance.
The film was never used in Sweden, remaining in the Seaberg’s home for almost forty years until it was used by Wim Wenders’ in “The Soul of a Man” in 2003.
