James Davis (vocals) released this number in 1963 as a single on the Duke label.

As his first professional gig in 1957 James Davis opened for Guitar Slim. It as slim who first began calling him “Thunderbird” as a joke after Davis lost a drinking contest involving the cheap wine which subsequently put him in the hospital. He swore off drinking from that point on and singed with the Houston-based Duke record label in 1961.
