John Lee Hooker

Rockin’ with Johnny

John Lee Hooker (guitar & vocals) is featured performing his hit song “Boom Boom” at the University Of Washington in 1970.

The initial success of his 1948 debut recording “Boogie Chillen'” was followed by a string of hits for John Lee Hooker. His style was well suited to the musical climate of the time standing as a boogie influenced per curser to rock & roll. This is epitomized with Johnny’s 1962 hit “Boom Boom.”
