Recorded by ‘Blind’ Arthur Blake (guitar & vocal) in Chicago during October 1926. Arthur Blake was a ragtime influenced guitarist who was the most accomplished of all his East Coast blues contemporaries. He possessed an equally expansive repertoire. There isn’t much known about his personal life and outer than his heavy gambling and drinking habits. According to Reverend Gary Davis Blake death was caused when he was struck buy a streetcar while in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 1, 1934.
